2012 Sectional Pinewood Derby
You should have received an email from Commander Rick that the cars are in. Please contact Commander Rick to arrange to pickup the cars!
It is hard to believe but it is that time of year again. This year's sectional pinewood derby will be held at Hunting Ridge Church of God in Prattville, Alabama on February 18th. The races will start at 8:30am and go until we are finished which is usually around lunchtime. As in past years the cars MUST BE REGISTERED ON THURSDAY NIGHT BEFORE THE RACE. Registration will be on Thursday, February 16th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. If the cars are not registered during this time they will not be able to race on Saturday. So mark your calendars for Thursday, February 16th and Saturday, February 18th. Bring the entire family out and show your support for your sectional.
Adults don't forget there is a division for you so start working on those designs and build your own car!
As with past years we will offer Online Registration. The Online Registration is now open! If you have not used the Online Registration in past years we ask that you please consider giving it a try. You can register online up until 5pm on Thursday, February 16th. Online registration helps speed up check in during registration and greatly helps reduce the time to enter all the cars into the race software.
Check out the Pinewood Derby Page for Rules and More Information!
On the morning of the race breakfast will be available for purchase.

The Sectional Chaplain is very important so if you know anyone that who would like to volunteer for this position please contact one of our Sectional Staff Members. Sectional Commanders Conference
Mark your calendars for the next Sectional Commanders Conference. We really need someone from each outpost represented at the meetings. These meetings are where we decide on issues, dates and location of events. If you don't have a representative present then your outpost will not have any say it what goes on in the section. So it is important that your outpost is represented. You need to be there so we know what you want to do with YOUR section!
