    Welcome to the Montgomery Section of the Royal Rangers. The Montgomery Section includes outpost in cities throughout central Alabama. This website has been designed to help keep you up to date on upcoming events and to provide you with resources to help you with your mission to help "reach, teach and keep boys for Christ."

    2010 Pinewood Derby

    There are some rule changes this year so please download the 2010 Rules. The section also purchased a new aluminum track this year.

    It is that time! The 2010 will be held February 27, 2010 at First Assembly Church of God in Montgomery. Registration will be held between 7PM - 9PM on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at First Assembly Church of God in Montgomery.

    All cars must be registered on Thursday, February 25,2010 between 7PM - 9PM. NO EXCEPTIONS! To help with registration we are again asking everyone to register online. After registering online all you have to do is come turn the cars in on registration night.

    This year you can enter a 2nd car for BEST OF SHOW Only. Check out the Pinewood Derby Page for More information on this new option.

    Upcoming Training:

    IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT LMA TRAINING:

    The district is implementing a new policy concerning the completion of the LMA. The applicant will have one year to complete their LMA, if the LMA is not completed in one year then the person will have to start over. The cost being inferred at the beginning for the whole course is a cost of $125.00. The National office will soon implement this same policy in the near future to all districts. Joe will do all he can to help those who wish to complete their LMA. The ones that have already began their training will have til the spring of 2008 to complete their training. Please contact Joe and he will make arrangements to have the training you need to complete your LMA.

    Sectional Commanders Conference

    Mark your calendars for the next Sectional Commanders Conference. We really need someone from each outpost represented at the meetings. These meetings are where we decide on issues, dates and location of events. If you don't have a representative present then your outpost will not have any say it what goes on in the section. So it is important that your outpost is represented. You need to be there so we know what you want to do with YOUR section!

    Royal Rangers Groups

    Royal Rangers are designed for boys and is broke up into four groups. The groups are broken up according to the grades of the boys.

    Ranger Kids - Kindergarten thru 2nd grade

    Discovery Rangers - 3rd grade thru 5th grade

    Adventure Rangers - 6th grade thru 8th grade

    Expedition Rangers - 9th grade thru 12th grade
