Our Section Chaplain (Keith Mitchell) has resigned because he has accepted a pastoral position in the Trussville area. While we having for the opportunity that God had blessed Keith and his family with in now leaves a hole in the Sectional Staff. The Sectional Chaplain is very important so if you know anyone that who would like to volunteer for this position please contact one of our Sectional Staff Members. If your nomination is someone other than yourself, please talk to them first to make sure they are ok with serving as Sectional Staff. Please be in prayer that God will send someone to this position.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT LMA TRAINING:

The district is implementing a new policy concerning the completion of the LMA. The applicant will have one year to complete their LMA, if the LMA is not completed in one year then the person will have to start over. The cost being inferred at the beginning for the whole course is a cost of $125.00. The National office will soon implement this same policy in the near future to all districts. Please contact Joe with any questions

Upcoming Training

Alabama District Leaders,
While talking to quite a few of you over the last couple of weeks, I have realized there is some confusion for the training requirements for Commanders already certified as leaders under the old way of doing things (Leaders Medal of Achievement). If that is you, and you are not a new Commander, please review the LMA Transition Application. You have until the end of the year to complete the requirements on this application. If you choose not to, your status as a trained Commander under the old system will expire. Then you will have to go through all of the training as if you are a new Commander. If you complete the requirements on this application by 31 Dec 2012 and submit it to the national office by 31 Jan 2013, you will be considered at the Advanced level. Don't let too much time go by. We have had a year and a half to get this done, so 3/4ths of our time has passed. Better get on the stick if you have not completed this.

If you go to any of the new training, you will quickly realize that the classes are awesome. Everything you will attend is very interactive. No more sitting through a lecture. The Holy Spirit attends these classes with you and you will leave changed, revived, and ready to take it back to the boys of your outpost. Let's get busy Commander. This is training you won't want to miss.
John C. Robinson

Sectional Commanders Conference

Mark your calendars for the next Sectional Commanders Conference. We really need someone from each outpost represented at the meetings. These meetings are where we decide on issues, dates and location of events. If you don't have a representative present then your outpost will not have any say it what goes on in the section. So it is important that your outpost is represented. You need to be there so we know what you want to do with YOUR section!

Sectional Commanders Conference - Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Bethel Workship Center, 1117 US Hwy 231 North Wetumpka, AL -  9am -12pm

You can now read the meeting minutes from the Commander Conference
